Douglas R. Ewart

Mr Ewart was the president of the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians (AACM) and is a is a musician who plays a kaliedescope of instruments, including many of his own making.  Mr. Ewarts is expert at:

  • Alto saxophone
  • Clarinet
  • Bassoon
  • Flute
  • Bamboo flutes (shakuhachi, ney, and panpipes), and didgeridoo
  • Rastafarian hand drums (nyabingi, repeater, and bass).  

Douglas R. Ewart has received the following grants:
